Hollywood Is Like High School With Money by Zoey Dean

I was so excited to read this book because I really enjoyed Zoey Dean’s How To Teach Filthy Rich Girls (adapted into TV show Privileged) and her A-List series. After seeing the adorable cover of this novel, I knew it would be right up my alley. I definitely wasn’t wrong.

Hollywood Is Like High School With Money tells the story of Taylor Henning, a film school graduate from the East who moves to LA to hopefully make it big. She lands her dream job working as an assistant at a major Hollywood movie studio.

Taylor gets to work on her first day and finds out that not only will she not be reading scripts or making movies, but that she is in charge of making her boss Iris’s smoothies. The life of a second assistant is definitely not glamorous and Taylor’s co-worker and rival Kylie doesn’t exactly help to make Taylor feel welcome.

Taylor needs a plan. She enlists the help of Iris’s teenage daughter Quinn to teach her the ways of Hollywood and power. Taylor and Quinn make a deal that Quinn will help her out, but Taylor owes her one….with one catch. Taylor must do whatever Quinn wants, WHEN she wants it.

After learning how to successfully deliver the death stare and how to “fake it ‘til you make it” Taylor turns her career and social life around. Everything is perfect….until Quinn ruins it all. It’s serious damage control time for Taylor, but sometimes all the apologies and sucking up in the world just isn’t enough.

I couldn’t put this book down. I’m a sucker for a story about a regular old girl trying to make it big in the city.

Taylor was definitely a likable character. She was easy to relate to, and towards the end, I really felt my heart break for her. You know a book is good when you physically cringe at what’s coming up next. Even though Taylor turned into a mean girl throughout the course of the book, you can’t help but like her because she tried so hard to succeed.

I’m really hoping that Zoey Dean is planning to write another novel featuring the fabulous Taylor Henning.

How To Be A Hepburn In A Hilton World by Jordan Christy

How To Be A Hepburn In A Hilton World by Jordan Christy is a how-to book for young women/professionals about becoming a classy woman. I first picked up this book without realizing it was non-fiction; I was just intrigued by the catchy title and the cute cover. When I found out it was more of a self-help book, I was still willing to give it a try.

In a world where most young girls strive to gain attention (and not always in a good way), Christy sets out to teach readers that being classy and wholesome is better than being skanky and crazy.

I have mixed feelings about this book. Some of the chapters were completely useful and interesting. I especially liked the chapter about finding your personal style and accessorizing for work which is something I’m dealing with on a daily basis. I also enjoyed the chapter about makeup and finding the right color palette for you.

A chapter on work ethic proved interesting, if not completely obvious.

However, some of the chapters I couldn’t even believe I was seriously reading a book that had been written in the 21st century. The chapter that immediately comes to mind is the one where Jordan Christy tells readers that it is absolutely NOT OKAY for young women to ask a guy out, send him a text first or make the first move. HELLO?! Is this 1955? I get that all women should be classy and we shouldn’t be drunkenly throwing ourselves at a guy at a bar in a mini-skirt, but since when does it hurt to show a little interest? I don’t know. I just couldn’t get behind this chapter. She even goes so far to interview “real guys” who all prove her point…right.

I read this book fairly quickly and skimmed through some of the more boring sections. I admire Christy’s goal in publishing this book. I completely agree that we should all try to be a little more Audrey Hepburn than Paris Hilton, but I think the message was lost in the pages of this book.

RATING: 4/10

LA Candy by Lauren Conrad

I was pleasantly surprised when I finished reading L.A. Candy by Lauren Conrad. As I mentioned before, I wasn’t expecting much from the MTV star, but I was truly impressed by her writing and the story.

L.A. Candy tells the story of Jane Roberts, a nineteen year old who moved to L.A. with her best friend Scarlett. Jane moved to L.A. to intern for prestigious event planner Fiona Chen, while Scarlett moved to L.A. to attend USC. After being spotted by a producer out at a club, the girls are asked if they’d like to be part of a new reality TV show for PopTV featuring 4 girls who moved to L.A. for different reasons. Jane and Scarlett are a bit skeptical, but they decide to go for an interview.

Jane and Scarlett find out that they have been hired for the show and instantly, their whole world changes. The girls meet Madison and Gaby, their co-stars and Scarlett immediately gets a bad vibe from Madison. Jane, always friendly wants to give them a chance. Almost overnight, Jane and Scarlett became famous leading to problems at work, with boys, and even in their own friendship.

Throughout the taping of the show within the book, Jane is shocked and surprised to learn that reality TV isn’t as real as she once thought. When she is asked to enter and re-enter a club’s entrance 5 times and when her producer text messages her during a dinner to ask Jane to smile and speak more loudly, Jane is confused and upset.

Towards the end of the book, Jane learns some tough lessons about who can and can’t be trusted.

Many people believe that this book is loosely based on The Hills. As a huge fan of The Hills, I definitely believe that and like to think that this book is Lauren’s “fictional” way of telling fans what really went down behind the scenes on The Hills.

I honestly LOVED this book. The only thing I didn’t love so much was the ending. The end of the book was fast-paced and exciting and I was turning the pages quickly and then all of a sudden it was over. I double checked to make sure I wasn’t missing a chapter. I quickly logged online and learned that Conrad signed a 3 book deal and that the chapter I thought was missing will be included in the next book. I’m all for a cliffhanger ending, but I do like a little bit of closure, at least to hold me over until the next book!

Sugar & Spice by Lauren Conrad

Published by Harper Collins
Number of pages :  288
My review - 8 out of 10

In TV star Lauren Conrad's delicious, entertaining novel about young Hollywood, the lies are only as sweet as the people telling them. Jane Roberts is a bona fide celebrity -- she is treated like a queen, has couture clothes and starlet looks. She also has the tabloid scandals, fake friends and relentless paparazzi. Now that Jane has survived her first season on the air, she has learned a few things. Most importantly: Hollywood is full of people trying to use you -- especially her former friend and current co-star, Madison Parker. So Jane is trying to surround herself with the people she knows love her for her. Like Scarlett, her best friend since childhood. And Caleb, her high school boyfriend who happens to be back in Los Angeles for the next few months. Sure, after a recent -- and very public -- love-life implosion, Jane is on a break from boys. But that does not mean she can't spend time with Caleb. They are just friends. She and Braden are also now friends after they lived through a horrible photo scandal. Well, maybe not, but a little drama never hurt anyone! too badly. Full of the ripped-from-real-life plot twists that Lauren's fans love, SUGAR AND SPICE is another great page-turner in this juicy teen series.

That Extra Half an Inch: Hair, Heels and Everything in Between by Victoria Beckham

Taken from Victoria Beckham :

I have no qualifications to write this book; that's why I've got someone else to do it for me. But let me share my insights anyway. First I'd like to knock something on the head. The idea that, once you have a bit of money, you start wearing couture and stilettos all day and live on caviar and champagne is just nonsense. They've both got far too many calories.

My own inspirations come from Grace Kelly, Jackie Onassis and Giacometti sculpture, but this book is not my attempt to tell you what or what not to do. It's my last chance to cash in on what remains of my fame before David retires.

Even though I do love getting dressed up, jeans remain the staple of my wardrobe. They're so easy for staff to throw in the washing machine when they get dirty. Jeans that sag at the bottom are a nightmare and I was thrilled when Rock and Republic allowed me to use the GCSE in textiles that I nearly passed to put my name to a design that someone else made. You won't be able to afford them, though, so you should go to Gap.

"Victoria is a fashion icon and she spends a lot of money in our shops" - Christopher Bailey, Burberry.

I'm a great fan of vintage T-shirts. A word about vintage, though: it's easy to get confused about the difference between vintage and second-hand and that's because they're basically the same. If you want to be safe, look for something that's ridiculously overpriced. Blouses and halter-necks don't really do it for me, though you can wear them if you want to look like you shop at Primark, but nobody should be without a £1,000 Chanel cardigan. Have a look in charity shops if you can't afford a new one.

Think twice before wearing a miniskirt. You might look like Naomi Campbell, but more likely you'll end up looking like that minger Jordan, who never slept with David no matter what she says. And going out wearing no knickers underneath - I'm mentioning no names here! - just makes you look like a right slapper. Try wearing a pencil skirt, like me. They are so classy - especially if you buy them from Roland Mouret or Alexander McQueen. Empire-line dresses are also perfect for those bloated days when you've eaten breakfast.

"I am grateful for the possibility of being close to Victoria's credit card" - Roberto Cavalli.

Every girl should have masses of accessories. I couldn't live without my Manolos or Christian Louboutins and I never go out without throwing on my Chanel sunglasses. Make sure you always take a friend with you when you go shopping - it's so useful to have someone to carry the bags - and remember, if you can't find exactly what you're looking for, there are plenty more outlets in Paris, Madrid and New York. The one accessory over which I would advise caution is a tattoo - I love mine and David's to bits but you should always check they're spelt right.

Your bra doesn't have to match your knickers, but make sure you buy one that fits. Not everyone can aff ord a boob job - not that I've had one, mind, and even if I had, I would never have one as obvious as some people I can think of - and there's nothing worse than a bit of droop, if you get my meaning, girls! And do keep your thongs inside your jeans, unless they come from Agent Provocateur.

You can never spend too much money on hair and beauty products, unless you haven't got any. Using cheap shampoo makes your hair lifeless - and no one wants to look like they've got extensions. Finally, don't be afraid to be yourself. We all make mistakes from time to time. I once wore an Armani dress to a Dolce & Gabbana party! How dumb was that?

My Rating : 8/10
This book is really great! It taught me about many things related to girl stuffs! LOVE IT!

TAYLOR SWIFT!

Taken from her blog!

Hi, I'm Taylor. I've been alive for 20 years now, and I finally have my own kitchen. I'm very excited about this, and generally excited by anything else that falls into the "cute" or "cozy" categories. I learned to play guitar when I was twelve from this guy named Ronnie who came over to fix my parents' computer. I like quilts. But that's probably because I'm always freezing cold. I LOVE Nashville. That's where I live, when I'm lucky enough to be there. I love the town so much, I sometimes feel like I should just roll the windows down in my car (nicknamed the Toyoat. Because it's a Toyota) and scream "I LOVE THIS TOWN" loudly out the windows. That wouldn't be weird, right? Every time I try and wink at someone, I mess it up and end up scaring people. My lucky number always has been and always will be 13. It pops up in front of me in the most obvious and undeniable ways, but only when something good is about to happen. I'm a Sagittarius. I think that means I'm always looking for something new. It also means I have a Christmas-themed birthday party every year. I love bright colors and things that make reality seem more whimsical than it is. I have a collection of ribbons and headbands, and I love them all the same.  I over-think and over-plan and over-organize. I've been like this since I was a baby, before I was gigantically tall and over-talkative.

These days, I've been trying to classify my thoughts into two categories: "Things I can change," and "Things I can't." It seems to help me sort through what to really stress about. But there I go again, over-planning and over-organizing my over-thinking! I write songs about my adventures and misadventures, most of which concern love. Love is a tricky business. But if it wasn't, I wouldn't be so enthralled with it. Lately I've come to a wonderful realization that makes me even more fascinated by it: I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to love. No one does! There's no pattern to it, except that it happens to all of us, of course. I can't plan for it. I can't predict how it'll end up. Because love is unpredictable and it's frustrating and it's tragic and it's beautiful. And even though there's no way to feel like I'm an expert at it, it's worth writing songs about -- more than anything else I've ever experienced in my life.

I've apparently been the victim of growing up, which apparently happens to all of us at one point or another. It's been going on for quite some time now, without me knowing it. I've found that growing up can mean a lot of things. For me, it doesn't mean I should become somebody completely new and stop loving the things I used to love. It means I've just added more things to my list. Like for example, I'm still beyond obsessed with the winter season and I still start putting up strings of lights in September. I still love sparkles and grocery shopping and really old cats that are only nice to you half the time. I still love writing in my journal and wearing dresses all the time and staring at chandeliers. But some new things I've fallen in love with -- mismatched everything. Mismatched chairs, mismatched colors, mismatched personalities. I love spraying perfumes I used to wear when I was in high school. It brings me back to the days of trying to get a close parking spot at school, trying to get noticed by soccer players, and trying to figure out how to avoid doing or saying anything uncool, and wishing every minute of every day that one day maybe I'd get a chance to win a Grammy. Or something crazy and out of reach like that. ;) I love old buildings with the paint chipping off the walls and my dad's stories about college. I love the freedom of living alone, but I also love things that make me feel seven again. Back then naivety was the norm and skepticism was a foreign language, and I just think every once in a while you need fries and a chocolate milkshake and your mom. I love picking up a cookbook and closing my eyes and opening it to a random page, then attempting to make that recipe. I've loved my fans from the very first day, but they've said things and done things recently that make me feel like they're my friends -- more now than ever before. I'll never go a day without thinking about our memories together.

For the last two years, I've been writing and recording an album called Speak Now. I only have the option of writing about things that happen in my life, so thankfully a LOT has happened in my life in the last two years. I know I don't always say the right thing at the right time or speak up when I should, but I write it all down. I get my guitar and a pen and all of a sudden, I have a chance to say exactly what I meant to say in real life. Some of the things I wrote about are things everyone saw me go through. Some of the things I wrote about are things nobody ever knew about. I'm beyond excited for you to hear these stories and confessions.

I think it's important that you know that I will never change. But I'll never stay the same either. Must be a Sagittarius thing.

Cherry Blossoms (Sakura) on Japan! :D

Do you plan to visit Japanese cherry blossom festivals? Cherry blossoms can be viewed from January to June in different regions in Japan, but most of cherry blossom festivals fall between March to May.

Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots in Japan
Gorgeous flowers are main attractions of the festivals, but a variety of traditional Japanese performing arts presented in many festivals can't be missed. Joining tea ceremonies held under cherry trees can be a memorable experience as well. As hanami (cherry blossom viewing party) is an important Japanese custom, people enjoy eating home-cooked meals or take-out food under cherry trees. Stop by the festival vendors which sell lots of food and souveniors, including regional crafts and speciality food in the region. It's notable that many cherry blossom festivals hold light-up events in the evening.

POPULAR HANAMI SPOTS
1. Shinjuku Gyoen Early April

In its Western and Japanese style gardens, Shinjuku Gyoen features more than one thousand cherry trees of over a dozen varieties, including numerous early and late blooming trees. There are spacious lawn areas, and the atmosphere is calm and peaceful. Thanks to the early and late blooming trees, Shinjuku Gyoen is a recommended hanami destination for those who miss the main season by a week or two.

2. Philosopher's Path Early April
Between Ginkakuji and Nanzenji Temples

The Philosopher's Path is a pleasant path besides a canal that connects Ginkakuji (Silver Pavilion) with the vicinity of Nanzenji. It is lined by hundreds of cherry trees.

PARIS!!!

WHY PARIS?
Every girl dreams is to be at Paris with their man they really love. One of all the girls in the world, I am included in it. Paris is a dream for me. Paris is one of the places I wanna go before I die. But it is also because there are so many fun and interesting yet fabulous in that dream city! Paris is known as a great city for adults: sightseeing, monuments, museums, restaurants and shopping . The first place I want to go is..

THE EIFFEL TOWER!
It is an iron lattice tower located on the Champ de Mars in Paris. Built in 1889, it has become both a global icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. The tower is the tallest building in Paris and the most-visited paid monument in the world; millions of people ascend it every year. Named for its designer, engineer Gustave Eiffel, the tower was built as the entrance arch to the 1889 World's Fair.

Second one.. Disneyland Paris!

Disneyland Paris is a holiday and recreation resort in Marne-la-Vallée, a new town in the eastern suburbs of Paris, France. The complex is located 32 km (20 mi) from the centre of Paris and lies for the most part within the commune of Chessy, Seine-et-Marne.

Disneyland Paris comprises two theme parks, a retail, dining and entertainment district, and seven Disney-owned hotels. Operating since 12 April 1992, it was the second Disney resort to open outside the United States and the first to be owned and operated by Disney.

Last but not least.. the shopping center! :)

Paris is a marvelous shopping city. You can do great shopping at department stores, in the top fashion streets or the picturesque food markets.
More and more, people choose to go to Paris Shopping Centers (shopping malls). Most Parisians regularly do their shopping there.
I found 2 great shopping centres that are near to Disneyland Paris, which are

1.  La Vallee Village
A village street like outlet Shopping Center dedicated to fashion. 33% discount on last year French fashion. Most french fashion brands are there. Close to Disneyland Paris and Val d'Europe Shopping Center.

2.Val d'Europe Shopping Center
5 minutes away from Disneyland Paris by metro. Hypermarket. Maybe the best Paris shopping center.

NYC!

Someday, I WILL go to New York City! New York City is a really good place to go. It has so many travelling criteria that I could get in NYC.
New York is the most populous city in the United States and the center of the New York metropolitan area, which is one of the most populous metropolitan areas in the world. New York City has a significant impact on global commerce, finance, media, culture, art, fashion, research, education, and entertainment.

I heart NYC! Why?

1. SHOPPING
From the Hamptons, where celebrities shop in stylish boutiques, to Chautauqua-Allegheny's country stores selling handmade Amish quilts and furniture, New York is a shopper's paradise. Whether you want it, need it, or just have to have it, this is the place to find anything you're looking for.

You can find fun and fashionable items in specialty shops and upscale stores in New York City and Long Island, or discover the thrills of a bargain at upstate designer malls and outlets, from Woodbury Common to Waterloo. Browse antique shops and galleries in historic towns like Hudson, Rhinebeck and Troy, or follow scenic routes to farmers markets and flea markets in the Catskills and Thousand Islands. In the Finger Lakes, wine trails lead to vineyard gift shops and beautiful creations are on display in the hot glass studios of Corning's Gaffer District.

From Adirondack craft shops to Antique Row in Binghamton, and from Buffalo's old-world market to a maple grove in Ellington, New York has something to please everyone. Along the way, you'll see some of the world's most spectacular scenery.

2. AMUSEMENT PARKS

Fun and thrills go so well together in New York. It's why the state's many amusement parks are big attractions here. From high-tech super –roller coasters to family parks by the lake to old-time classic rides, the many flavors of speed and daredevil fun are here for discerning thrill seekers and kids of all ages.

With the iconic Wonder Wheel and Cyclone wooden roller coaster, the motley mix of rides at New York City's Coney Island is a classic. The carnival-like seaside atmosphere here has been attracting visitors since the late nineteenth century.  Connoisseurs of amusement park rides will also want to visit the Hudson Valley's Rye Playland. The park opened in 1928 and has been declared a National Historic Landmark for its old-time carousel, derby racer, and the Dragon Coaster, its famed wooden roller coaster.

If you're in the Adirondacks, get your heart rate up the 140-acre Six Flags Great Escape. Enjoy the loops and corkscrews of rides like the 12.5 stories-tall Boomerang Coast to Coast, as well as the Comet, often considered one of the best wooden roller coasters in the country.

At Darien Lake, near Buffalo and Rochester, dangle your legs in the air as you drop and roll at nearly 50 miles an hour through the Mind Eraser, a steel inverted roller coaster. Also close to Rochester, Seabreeze is another place to really grip the restraint bars. Enjoy more than 70 attractions by the shores of Lake Ontario. The park's most well known ride is the Jack Rabbit, operating since 1920 and on the record books as the fourth oldest roller coaster on the planet.
If the weather's really hot, stay cool as you zip down a water park slide. Can you feel your heart already thumping faster?

3. NIAGARA FALLS

Before you even get near the Falls, you'll hear it. Millions of gallons of water rush over its 170-foot cliffs every few seconds. Twenty percent of the world's freshwater lies in the Great Lakes, and most of it flows over Niagara Falls, making it one of the most powerful and beautiful works of nature you'll encounter anywhere.
You've probably seen the Falls in pictures, but up close and in person, the power and grandeur of the roaring waters still takes you by surprise. Feel the intensity as you stand amid clouds of rising mist and rainbow-painted spray on the Maid of the Mist boat tour or the Cave of the Winds walk. You can even dine with a wondrous view at the Top of the Falls restaurant.
Niagara's history is dramatic, too. From its Ice Age legacy, on display at the Niagara Gorge Discovery Center, to the stories of daredevils who tried to go over the Falls in barrels. At the Daredevil Museum you can learn about high-wire tightrope acts that were performed across the Gorge, including that of The Great Blondin, who carried his manager on his back. Fascinating exhibits include a two-person barrel and a jet ski used in an attempt to go over the Falls. Be sure to explore the best of the city of Niagara Falls, where you can visit attractions like family friendly aquariums, as well as test your luck at the casino.

I AM NUMBER 4! :D

I Am Number Four is a young adult science fiction novel by Pittacus Lore (a pseudonym for James Frey and Jobie Hughes who collaborated on this book). The book was published by HarperCollins on August 3, 2010, and has spent 6 weeks on the children's chapter of The New York Times Best Seller list.
DreamWorks Pictures bought the rights to the film in June 2009; it was released on February 18, 2011. The novel is the first of a proposed six-book series.

CHARACTERS

John Smith/Number Four
John Smith is the main protagonist of the novel, and Number Four in the sequence protecting the Nine Lorien children living and hiding on Earth. He is 15 years old. He is described as being a fit, young man with blond hair. He has three circular scars on his right ankle, signifying the three dead Lorien children, and a scar similar to the pendent all the Lorien children wear, signifying the charm that protects them. He is in love with Sarah Hart.
John is a Garde, a Lorien who possesses certain gifts and abilities that help him protect others and himself. These gifts, or Legacies, begin to appear throughout the novel. At the end of the novel, his Legacies are:

Telekinesis — All Lorien Garde have this power, developing it when they get their first Legacy, or soon after.

Lumen — The ability to produce heat and light from his hands and a resistance to heat and fire which is spread over the exterior of his body.

Animal Telepathy — The ability to communicate with animals. This was his first Legacy to develop.

Hadley/Bernie Kosar
Bernie Kosar is a Chimǣra from Lorien. He has been following and protecting John and Henri ever since they came to Earth. John remembers that in Florida, there was always a gecko staring at him while he ate breakfast. While they are in Paradise, Bernie takes the form of a beagle. Bernie's name on Lorien was Hadley. John has a few visions of Hadley back when they were on Lorien. At the end of the book, John realizes that Bernie Kosar is Hadley.

Sarah Hart
John's girlfriend. Sarah is portrayed as an intelligent and beautiful teenage girl with blond hair. Originally a cheerleader, she dated Mark, John's rival at school. After her parents realizing what a bad influence Mark was, they sent her away for the summer. Upon her return, she quit the cheerleading squad and broke up with Mark. She is passionate about photography and animals. After John walks through Mark's burning house and jumps out with her and the two dogs, saving their lives, she realizes he is not human. He feels compelled to admit the truth about himself to her, and she accepts his explanation.

Sam Goode
John's best friend. Sam is a devoted believer in aliens and alien conspiracies, believing that aliens abducted his father. He first suspects what John is after they are attacked on the Haunted Hayride by Mark and his friends, but isn't told what John is until after he sees John fight the three men in Athens who write the alien conspiracy magazine, They Walk Among Us. He is seen as a gangly kid with glasses, though they are not his—he explains to John that they belonged to his father, and he is trying to see through his father's eyes. During the battle against the Morgadorians, Sam saves John's life by killing one of the soldiers, and he also saves Six by carrying her back to his truck after she was injured. He decides to accompany John and Number Six away from Paradise.

Mark James
Mark is the quarterback for the school football team and a bully. He is famous in Paradise, Ohio. He is at first bitter at John when he sees how much Sarah likes him. After trying to hurt John and Sarah whilst John is on a Halloween ride, John uses his super strength to warn Mark to stop messing around with him and Sarah. By pushing him in the creek, Mark is sufficiently intimidated, and a truce is made. John helps Mark when his house burns down after a party by saving his dogs. Mark finds out what John is after seeing a video of John jumping out of the burning house with Sarah and Mark's two dogs in his arms. He fights along side John at the end, putting all past grievances aside, and John leaves promising to pay Mark back for saving his life. Mark's father is the sheriff of Paradise.

Number Six
The only other Lorien child in the novel apart from the one in the first chapter, who is Number Three. Six has no alias that is mentioned, simply going by the name of Six. Six is described as having long dark hair, olive-toned skin, hazel eyes, high cheekbones, a wide mouth, and two inches shorter than Four/John. Her Cêpan Katarina died three years before the novel begins. She is a Garde, as are all the other Lorien children. Six's Legacies are:
Telekinesis — Like John, she can move objects with her mind. It is not told how developed her strength is.
Invisibility — Six can make herself invisible. She manages to sneak around outside the school despite the numerous Mogadorians outside. Six can turn people invisible just by touching them; however, this is limited to only a couple of people. John's Grandfather had this power.
Elemental Manipulation — Six can control the four basic elements: Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. She can apparently mix these powers together, shown when she makes a storm appear in the final fight.

Number Three
The 13 year old third and last Lorien child in the book, who appears at the start of the book being chased by the Mogadorians in Kenya and is soon killed by a Mogadorian.

Henri
The Cêpan of John, or Number Four. He had a wife and child on his home planet of Lorien, but he left her to protect and train John when Lorien was destroyed. He is John's caretaker and also trains and teaches John as John's legacies form. He is like a father to John since he was forced to leave his grandparents behind on Lorien. He dies at the very end of their fight against the Mogadorians at the high school. He tells John that he is proud of him, and that he would not have missed out on anything that they did for the world. Once John, Sarah, Sam, Mark, and Number Six escape to a nearby hotel, they cremate Henri, and John takes his ashes with him in a coffee can, swearing to return them to Lorien someday.

The film adaptation was released on February 18, 2011. It stars Alex Pettyfer as John Smith/Number Four and Dianna Agron as Sarah Hart and Callan McAuliffe as Sam Goode.

Red Riding Hood

Red Riding Hood is an American dark fantasy film directed by Catherine Hardwicke, from a screenplay by David Leslie Johnson. It is very loosely based on the folk tale Little Red Riding Hood collected by both Charles Perrault under the name "Le Petit Chaperon Rouge" (Little Red Riding Hood) and several decades later by the Brothers Grimm as "Rotkäppchen" (Little Redcap). The film also draws inspiration from Bruno Bettelheim's book The Uses of Enchantment, in which he analyzes fairy tales in terms of Freudian psychology.

The most romantic love movies I always love, TITANIC!

Titanic is a 1997 American epic romance and disaster film directed, written, co-produced, and co-edited by James Cameron. A fictionalized account of the sinking of the RMS Titanic, it stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Jack Dawson and Kate Winslet as Rose DeWitt Bukater, members of different social classes who fall in love aboard the ship during its ill-fated maiden voyage.
Cameron's inspiration for the film was predicated on his fascination with shipwrecks; he wanted to convey the emotional message of the tragedy, and felt that a love story interspersed with the human loss would be essential to achieving this. Production on the film began in 1995, when Cameron shot footage of the actual Titanic wreck. The modern scenes were shot on board the Akademik Mstislav Keldysh, which Cameron had used as a base when filming the wreck. A reconstruction of the Titanic was built at Playas de Rosarito, Baja California, and scale models and computer-generated imagery were also used to recreate the sinking. The film was partially funded by Paramount Pictures and 20th Century Fox – respectively, its American and international distributors – and at the time, it was the most expensive film ever made, with an estimated budget of $200 million!

Many people certainly have watched this super romantic movies! Especially for the girls! But for me, this movie is just.. endless. It never ends. It never bores me! yet very romanticcc! :D

Gnomeo&Juliet

Gnomeo, Gnomeo where for art thou, Gnomeo? He’s drag racing a lawnmower in your backyard! Emily BluntJames McAvoy and Michael Cane star in this hoot of an Shakespeare adaptation, Gnomeo & Juliet. The Kelly Asbury directed 3-D picture hits theaters nationwide Friday, January 21st. Check out the review below…

The Players:

  • Director: Kelly Asbury
  • Writers: Kelly Asbury, Mark Burton
  • Cast: Emily Blunt, James McAvoy, Michael Cane, Jason Statham

The Plot:

We’re working with an adorably embellished/child-proof rendition of Shakespeare’s Romeo And Juliet. Gnomeo (McAvoy) of the “blues” and Juliet of the “reds” exist in competing backyards among fellow garden gnomes, mushrooms, bunnies, what have you. Battles between lawnmowers, weed-whackers, and miracle grow keep these pint sized statues at odds, until Gnomeo and Juliet meet and sparks fly. You know the rest.

The Good:

  • Adaptation: We’ve seen our fair share of both impressive and abominable Shakespeare adaptations, but we’ve yet to see one geared towards kids. Asbury re-writes several pivotal story points to better suit her target audience – most notably, no deaths occur. And, let’s be real, unless you’re incredibly stoned or over the age of 13, 3-D gnome duels and suicide sessions don’t make for .
  • Humor: Again, the film is aimed to please a younger demographic but I’m happy to report that Asbury works in some subtle adult humor – some of it being blatantly sexual, actually. Cheers!
  • Animation: It’s a visually pleasing picture from the character illustrations to the exotic color palettes to the hysterical “fight” choreography. (Also note the FABULOUS dance number before the closing credits).

The Bad:

  • Music: It pains me to make any remotely negative comment towards anythin Sir. Elton John has touched, but there’s no way to cushion the truth here: The Music Was Bad. John threw in a measure or two from some of his classic jams (which were obviously awesome) but the original tunes couldn’t have been less catchy. Fail.

Overall:

It’s not easy to hate on a kids movie, but it’s not any easier to shower it with praise. You get what the genre typically delivers.

THE LYRICS! :)

Verse:
Here I am lost along the way, and here I stand, I don't know what to say.
I've been this way before, can't hold on anymore and I feel sore.
Here I sit just got up from the ground, should I quit or fight another round?
My head just pounds insane, my heart explodes with pain and I feel slain

Pre-Chorus:
I never ask, I don't complain about anything

Chorus:
I'm torn, I'm torn I'm lost and I'm forlorn
I'm torn, I'm torn always on my own
I'm far away from home and I've been facing this too long
Since the day that I was born I have been torn

Verse:
So here we are at the end of our road, we've come this far but now the truth unfolds
I know I've been betrayed, you know that its too late to change our fate

Pre-Chorus:
The broken glass, the heavy rain shatters everything

Chorus:
I'm torn, I'm torn I'm lost and I'm forlorn
I'm torn, I'm torn always on my own
I'm far away from home and I've been facing this too long
Since the day that I was born I have been torn

Bridge:
Give me a reason I should try to carry on
Nothing can replace and nothing can erase the things that keep me torn

Chorus:
I'm torn, I'm torn I'm lost and I'm forlorn
I'm torn, I'm torn always on my own
I'm far away from home and I've been facing this too long
Since the day that I was born I have been torn

What are words by Chris Medina.

2011 American Idol castoff Chris Medina - the guy who touched everyone's hearts and possibly made us shed a little tear with his heartbreaking love story about his girlfriend who currently suffers from brain injury due to a car accident - is the first example of the new partnership between American Idol and Universal Music Group. Chris Medina has been given the opportunity to release his debut single online. "What Are Words" which hit iTunes on February 24th is a beautiful ballad, inspired in his AI story, written by Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins.

Lyrics:
Anywhere you are, I am near
Anywhere you go, I'll be there
Anytime you whisper my name, you'll see
How every single promise I keep
Cuz what kind of guy would I be
If I was to leave when you need me most

What are words
If you really don't mean them
When you say them
What are words
If they're only for good times
Then they don't
When it's love
Yeah, you say them out loud
Those words, They never go away
They live on, even when we're gone

And I know an angel was sent just for me
And I know I'm meant to be where I am
And I'm gonna be
Standing right beside her tonight

And I'm gonna be by your side
I would never leave when she needs me most

What are words
If you really don't mean them
When you say them
What are words
If they're only for good times
Then they don't
When it's love
Yeah, you say them out loud
Those words, They never go away
They live on, even when we're gone

Anywhere you are, I am near
Anywhere you go, I'll be there
And I'm gonna be here forever more
Every single promise I keep
Cuz what kind of guy would I be
If I was to leave when you need me most

I'm forever keeping my angel close
